Our Family Chill Rafting Tour on the beautiful Lågen River in Sjoa is the perfect introduction to whitewater rafting — designed specifically with families and first-timers in mind. You’ll float through a stunning valley surrounded by mountains, paddle mild but exciting Grade 2 rapids, and enjoy quality time together in nature.
Led by certified and experienced guides, we make sure everyone feels confident and has a great time — no experience needed! Kids as young as 7 can join, and we provide all the gear and support so you can just show up and enjoy the ride. After the tour, we gather back at our rafting base for a hot drink and smiles all around.

Alternative Arrangements: In case of high river flow, we reserve the right to conduct the trip on an alternative river to ensure safety.

Accommodation:

At our paddling base in Nedre Heidal, we have camping/hammock/camper-van overnight options and a sauna and hot tub , toilet/kitchen facilities, and access to electricity. If you want to sleep in a cabin/room and not in a tent/hammock, then we recommend staying at the beautiful and cosy Faukstad Farmstead , which is just across the road, The Banken Cabin and Campsite in Heidal, or the historic Heart Break Hotel only a short 10 minute walk from our base.
What to Expect:

Experience the wow factor and breathtaking views of Nordic nature while paddling the Lågen River - a river steeped in history as far back as the viking age! Experience splashed and fun on the whitewater rapids while still being able to relax and enjoy the view - you will even get the chance to swim and play some famous rafting games, under the guidance of our experienced instructors. After the adventure, relax with a warm beverage and take advantage of our facilities to freshen up.
