Elephant Whispers Hazyview Animal Encounter

Experience the thrill of being close to these magnificent creatures; witness their intelligence, their compassionate nature and the deep bonds they share with their human family. While the Elephant Handlers share their wealth of knowledge about fascinating elephant behaviour, enjoy a wonderful hour of touching and feeding the elephants, taking photographs and experiencing the remarkable trust that has developed through gentle interaction.




Please note that children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who is over 21 years of age.

Guests will be given a safety briefing and will be required to sign an indemnity before meeting the Elephants.

Location - Elephant Whispers is in Hazyview, next to Hippo Hollow Hotel on the R40.

When - Throughout the year, apart from on Christmas Day and New Year's Day when the facility is closed.

Weather - The activity may be delayed, or have to be rescheduled should there be a thunderstorm or heavy rain.

Wear - Cool clothing with comfortable walking shoes

Bring - Camera with a spare memory card and extra batteries.
Sunscreen
Mosquito repellent for use in the early mornings and late afternoons.

Visitors not taking part in the activity are welcome to wait at the Reception area, they will not be able to watch the Elephant Interaction.
